Thank you for an amazing nine years Doylestown and Bucks County!  

I’m not taking any more business in.  I wish I could do this forever . . . I truly love it! But it has always been our dream to move to sunny Florida, and now the time is right! 

My name is Suzy and I am “The Half-Italian Tailor.”  My dad is 100% Italian, and my mom is . . . well, not Italian! I think the term “Italian Tailor” carries with it images of neatly pressed shirts and perfectly fitting suits.  I don’t know how to tailor mens’ suits . . . yet.  But I’m REALLY GOOD at dresses . . . fancy-schmancy, blinged-out dresses.  I confidently offer hemming and tailoring of all kinds of women’s’ and girls’ special occasion attire.

Prom Gowns, Bridesmaid Dresses, Recital Costumes, Cocktail Dresses . . . I’m pretty good at that kind of thing, and my prices are competitive.

There is no formal certification process that I know of, or specific training, in order to call oneself a “tailor.”  Here are my training and qualifications:

• My grandmother taught me to sew when I was about 8 or 9;
• Throughout college and my 20s I made most of my own special occasion clothing — formals, suits, dresses, resort-wear — because I enjoyed the process and because my budget demanded it;
• I have made lots of halloween costumes and TONS of theater costumes;
• I have been sewing as a business since 2010, constantly expanding my capabilities and honing my skills.

So call me and let me take care of that dress that doesn’t fit quite right, needs a style update, or is just a little (or a lot) too long.
